Please notice how well Luke holds his crayon when coloring.  At 21 months, I think that is very impressive. Keep in mind, he can't say a word.  Just a lot of grunting.  We all believe that he thinks he is talking already, hence he has no need to start talking. Hugo Grade:  B+ We recently had a chance to get back to the movies.  This has been the longest break in movie-going for us.  We just haven't wanted to see anything since....The Help. Made a card last night.  Didn't follow any sketches, just used some of my new papers and a new scrollwork border. Simple but nice. Also...with the help of Carol over at The Answer is Chocolate, I was able to create these 4th of July designs for my ever rotating mantel frames.  I really like them, I just need some more "festive" stuff on my mantel. I do have to admit to a couple cheats over the week-end.  Had a couple glasses of wine, which aren't allowed and I have to admit, I stagnated for a couple days.  Got myself back on track yesterday.  Followed all the rules and got in a long walk (about 4 miles) with Krissy and the kids.  Today my weight loss is at 6.2 pounds. My tomato plants are breaking all records for growth this year.  I think getting the new bigger pots and the large amount of rain have really helped. Today is Day 5 on the new plan and I've managed to lose 3.8 pounds.  Considering I started on the last Thursday, the weight loss is amazing.  As of yesterday, Krissy was at 3 pounds as well, so it is working for both of us. I recently made a delicious Chicken Pot Pie, which more than made up for the my disastrous Boston Creme Pie. I can't post the recipe quite yet cause it still needs some tweaking.  I had way to much sauce and it was much to thin.  I ended up having to scoop the filling out with a fine mesh strainer to put in in the pie shell. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Grade B+ We went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows over the Thanksgiving Holidays.  Not to give anything away, but if you are a Harry Potter fan who has read all the books, then you will like this movie.  It moves the story along and sets up the final film beautifully.  If you aren't a H.P. fan, chances are you aren't going to see this movie
