My New Computer

I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I got an iMac for Christmas and I LOVE it.  It has this giant screen and it's just so easy to use with a bunch of great applications.

I also got a new camera.  It's the Nikon D3000.  I have been using it more and more working on my skills.

(And...yes, I am a very spoiled girl!)

Together, they have evolved into something I didn't really expect.  My iPhoto has some very basic photo editing capabilities.  I have been having so much fun with this app...which only makes me think I could have some real fun with PhotoShop (although that will have to wait as it's a pretty expensive software).

Anyway....here's what I can do now.

This picture is straight out of the camera:

Here's what I was able to do to tweak this photo:

Pretty cool eh?

I went to a friend's baby shower last Saturday and I took 90 photos for her.  Then I came home and tweaked them into 140 photos.  This could get out of control if I'm not careful.

  1. that is nice!! What a cutie pie. And Austin is definitely a cutie too! I couldn't figure out the shirt thing at first in the other post. For some reason, I though he looked like he was in a flower pot. Boy, I really need to get to bed. between the late hour and paint fumes (remodel), I'm really seeing things.

  5. A new computer AND a new camera. Are you sleeping with Santa???

Sounds like you might be addicted to photo editing. That's a good thing because we'll all enjoy your great photos.

    I can't imagine meatloaf w/o onion either.
