Christmas Project #1

It's been a busy Christmas decoration week-end.  I got my garland and lights done outside (picture soon) and my tree is up and decorated.  Whew!  It was a lot of work.

I'm working on my mantle, which you may or may not know, is always a challenge for me.  I've updated the frames that I bought for Fall.  My first creative use of them was this:

And now they have their Christmas clothes on and they look like this:

Something simple, but festive.  I used some of my holiday card stock and embossed in green using a couple of my holiday stamps.

I'll provide a full mantle photo when I get my wreath done.

  1. We are so behind, we don't have any holiday decorations up yet... Those frames look great.

  2. Very festive indeed!

All I have up is the tree. If I can get the lights up outside by the middle of the month, it will be amazing.

  3. ooh, I like that! Are these going to be a seasonal frame - constant changing? I love that idea.

We just decorated tonight. I'm concerned about the tree, it is ginormous and literally like 1/5 the size of the living room.

  4. We had the outside decorated and lighted the day after Thanksgiving, but the inside has been slow to get done.

I like how you've update the frames for the Christmas season. You crafty people make it all look so easy.

  5. Thankfully, finished decorating, Lindalou, which is good since we must head back to the lake today to finish kitchen and our new grandbaby (boy) is due soon. My daughter broke her leg on Thanksgiving so we have been running/helping her out ... never thought I'd get done! Though just a dusting here, unprepared for today's winter blast :(

  6. What a great idea to use a simple fram to make interchangeable art for your seasonal decorating.
