Conversation with a 4 Year Old

I received the following note from Krissy the other day and it was just one of those things that begs to be posted.  The following conversation occured between her and Ryan the other day.  Here is her note in it's entirety.  All side comments are hers:

(Start of note)

I am not embellishing…

R: I want some toast.

K: But I just put the bread away.

R: Touche´

K: Where did you learn that word?

R: (sarcasm) I’m just a really really smart boy.

K: I see that, but how do you know the word touche´?

R: (more sarcasm) Because I know everything…just like you.

Seriously???

(End of note)

He has since been using touche´all over the place. He doesn't have the meaning right, but he's got the inflection and sarcasm...nailed.

"Yeah...that's me. I'm a really smart boy."

  5. Gotta love these little "SMART" guys! My grandson stated this last week that "he was so frustrated" and I am pretty sure he had no idea of where and how to use that big word, he isn't even three yet!

  6. I found my way here by chance and while I was here decided to browse through some of your other entries. I'm so glad I did. You've created an inviting spot for your visitors. I plan to be back as often as I can. The little guy is dear and has irresistibly chubby cheeks. I hope you have a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary

  7. I'm not kidding when I say this. When my eyes fell on Ryan's photo, I let out a gasp. That's a seriously handsome child.

Now....I wonder if he's ever heard his grandma say touche'. I know you're not a grandma. An Oma, maybe. Can't think of it right now. Why can't you just be a plain old grandma like me. lol

    Luv ya, donna
