Weekly Question #4

Here's the Monday question of the week on Tuesday. (I've got a really good excuse, as I am out of town for work and wasn't able to get to a computer until today.)

Here's what I was wondering....How do you like to spend your Sunday afternoon?  Are you the get everything ready for Monday kind of person or are you vegetate on the couch kind of person?

This is on my mind because I had all the kids and grandkids over on Sunday morning for the February Birthday Breakfast Celebration.  Everyone stayed all day and even Mikey crawled out of his cave.  As I sat watching everyone interact, I decided that this is my favorite way to spend a Sunday.

So...how about you?

  1. I am the kind of person to veg on the couch all day Sunday. I prefer to be lazy and enjoy the company of family and worry about the everyday grind come Monday morning, and not one minute sooner!

  2. We all get up and head out to church and that usually means that we get lunch out and then just do lazy things for the rest of the day. LOVE it!

  3. We go work out and I usually do some cleaning. I love reading the paper on the couch but that usually doesn't get to happen every Sunday b/c we always have something going on!

  5. ugh. Well I rarely get to veg on the couch. Sundays mean: finish laundry, freak out on 11 year old to be sure everything is ready for school the next day, lay out clothes for very particular 5 year old, lay out 5 work outfits and 4 gym outfits for me so there's no time wasting in the morning, and make grocery list for hubby to shop. My only thing that I actually do enjoy is make coffee in the am, and pay bills. Some Sundays I run in the am - and that is really enjoyable.

  6. I grew up believing that if you got up and went to church then you earned a Sunday nap. I continue to embrace that whole Sabbath thing! And I like to plan and cook a really nice dinner for my family after that nap.

  7. Phillip is here almost every Sunday morning and from the moment his feet hit the floor, he's cheerful which makes us cheerful.

The way your family celebrates birthdays is just terrific. You're making memories that will last a lifetime.

  8. I would love to be a veg on the couch all day person (as I used to be) but life doesn't really permit that anymore. So now Sunday means cleaning, laundry, baths, grocery shopping and some work. This is why Friday is now my favorite day of the week - it is so far away from Monday!

  9. I like to first sleep in on Sunday so I guess that really is Sunday morning.

Typically I go grocery shopping - this isn't one of my favorite things but it is my Sunday routine.

My favorite thing to do on a Sunday afternoon is take a nap with the sun shining on my face - this however, doesn't happen that often.
