Weekly Question #10

I haven't done my Weekly Question in quite awhile.  Kind of got off track, but today I got to wondering about vacations.  See, it's already August...and I haven't had a summer vacation yet and it is really starting to bug me.

We do have plans to go up to Port Austin, but it's not until later in the month.

In the meantime, help me live vicariously through you...

What have you done or what are you going to do for your summer vacation this year?

Please share.

  1. Hi Lindalou,

I like the name of your blog, so it's okay if the R. on roses didn't work out. It is easy to remember! And cute.

So for the vacation....we are doing staycations this year due to budget cuts. Still just as fun and Colorado has so much to see. We did a little jaunt to Wyoming, woo-hoo.
I hope you have something fun planned!

    Ta ta

  2. As you know, I totally believe in 'vacation'. My next jaunt is to Jackson Hole! I'm afraid of the bears but I'm doing it anyway.

  3. We spent a week at Lake George a resort area near our home just relaxing and laying out on the beach. There were tons of non-descript inexpensive but good ol American restaurants on the town's strip. While not the most exciting vacation, it was relaxing and uneventful - which is just how I like mine thank you. Hang in there - your time is coming up soon I see. Smiles

  4. I'm going to visit my sister in South Carolina and from there we are going to stroll through some gardens and parks.. Our favorite things to do..

but, not the only things we'll do..

Hope that where ever you chose to go, it will leave you with wonderful memories! Before Summmer's end..

  5. No real vacation for us, but we did go to Sedona, AZ for a weekend. How I would love to go back to Hawaii for a few weeks though!!

  6. I went to Pittsburgh to visit friends for 5 days. Had a blast and can't wait to go back. It was just what I needed; a little getaway in the middle of summer!

  7. Just got back from South Carolina with my sister, b-i-l, and baby niece. We got up leisurely, ate, went to the beach, went to the pool, ate, hung out, put the kids to bed, made mojitos, and played Pop 5 (a cranium game) all night. it was the life!

  8. Well, my dream vacation answer is always MAUI! We did spend a week in Oregon and we always find such amazing scenery there.
