Weekly Question #2

I should have posted this question on Monday, but I was distracted by my amazing and riveting giveaway.  So much for trying to do anything in a predictable fashion.  Guess that's just not my style.

See these red heels....well I don't own anything even remotely like them.  I've always had sensitive feet and therefore I go for pretty conservative shoes.

OK...there was, a long time ago, a pair of periwinkle blue heels that BW still occasionally mentions (with a particular glint in his eye).  Otherwise I'm a very basic pumps or flats kind of girl.

But I digress, let's get back on subject...So, here's this week's question.

Without actually looking in your closet, how many pairs of shoes do you think you own?  Consider all your shoes, the beat up sneakers and that pair of yellow heels that you only wore once to your 2nd cousin's wedding . (Yes..I have a pair of those hidden in the back of my closet somewhere.)

As for me, I think I have about 30 pair. To be honest, I only wear a rotation of about 5 pair, but I don't get rid of shoes lightly.

Let's find out who is the real shoe fanatic!

  1. I guess about 25 or so, but most of them are flip flops!

  2. I'm too embarrassed to answer and ashamed to count, especially since most are black ...

  3. I probably have around 20-25. But, I only wear a few pairs...sad, I know!

  5. Oh, Joey, that is funny! I have a good friend who has a closet full of different kinds of black shoes, I don't think she owns another color.
I have an embarrassingly large number of shoes. Just guessing-50 pr. Does it help that I get a lot at Goodwill and as donated shoes from a consignment shop where my friend works? But, none are a saucy as those red heels. I do have a cute pair of textured red leather mary janes I got in Germany. I have a patient who LOVES them and asks where they are when I don't have them on when he comes in.
    Just call me Imelda.

  6. I think I have close to 40 pairs...I have 2 pairs of slippers alone. Can't even tell you how many pairs of black shoes. 3 pairs of black boots (those aren't shoes so they don't count in that category). I could use a few more pairs - summer is coming so I'm thinking new sandals?

  7. Without looking, I'd say about 20 pair. When you have bunions, shoe shopping is not as much fun.

Hope you realized I was kidding you about having the giveaway while I was w/o a computer.

I'm sure ArtCriket2's husband is enjoying it very much:)

  8. Hmmm...about 30. Half of them are dressy and the rest are tatty.

    Fun topic...

  9. I have to admit, I cheated a bit and looked, but I didn't count them all. I knew I would be way off, and I was. Honestly, I think I have about 50-60 pairs. Sad, I know, but I do I have a pile downstairs going to Salvation Army. At least half of my shoes hurt my feet if I wear them too long, but beauty is pain! I love the red heels, by the way.

  10. Somehow, I just knew Caity would take the shoe fanatic discussion. It also helps that she has just the cutest little feet.

  11. What is funny about you asking this question is that I am so not a shoe person. I have two DD's who LOVE shoes and they have many. With that said, I am surprised as to how many I do have, almost all I don't wear. I am all for comfort too and I have many that just did not fit that category but I hesitate to get rid of them for some reason.

  12. I was missing the QOTW on Monday!

I have about...25 pair maybe. I wear about 5 pairs of heels on a rotation for work, and about 3 pairs (per season of non-heels) for after work. I was just thinking that I should start wearing heels for after work as well since they just look better, but my poor tootsies need to breathe and released from their little pointy torture contraptions at the end of the day.

  13. I knew one day this year that I have indeed turned into my mother. I am in constant pursuit of a comfortable shoe, and I just don't even care what they look like! My feet are wide and flat and I have toes that are wanting to cross the others- just a mess. Soooooooo I found a shoe that hurts them a little less than others, and bought them in black and in brown. Beyond those two pair, I may have 3 or 4 other pair!
