He's Finally Here

Luke Ozzie was born yesterday, April 6. He's is beautiful and his parents and grandparents, aunts and uncle's couldn't be prouder or happier as signified by the waterfalls sprouting everywhere yesterday.

And, Caitlin is now my new symbol of woman as warrior.  Heck with Xena...Caitlin is the Princess Warrior.  She was phenomenal.  She went through 22 hours of labor and spent 2 1/2 of them pushing like a trouper, only to have them all realize that Luke's head just could not get past her pelvic bone. After all this work and effort she ended up having a C-Section at around 2pm yesterday.  He was born 8 pounds 7 ounces and 20 inches long.  Caitlin was just brilliant and really gave her all to become a mother.  I am so proud of her.

Welcome Luke...I see a lot of light sabers in your future young Jedi.

  6. The name Luke Ozzie fits that adorable face perfectly. I'm crazy nuts about that name.

Sorry Caitlin had to go through so much labor and pushing only to end up with a c-section. At least she'll be able to tell this precious boy child all she went through to bring him into the world when he's a rebellious teen.

They are both healthy and happy and that's what counts.

    Congratulations to all of you.

  8. The theory in the Masserang family has long been that babies resemble either Winston Churchill or Yoda. Occasionally there is an exception. Luke is one of those exceptions. Well...how could he resemble Yoda...it would ruin the casting. He's adorable! -- judy
